CORNELIA JORDELL

Cornelia Jordell
My practice is rooted in painting as a process of emergence and transformation. I work intuitively, allowing figures, faces, and forms to develop through layering and revision. The work exists between abstraction and figuration, where recognizable elements appear but remain open, approaching the sublime.
I am interested in how painting can hold psychological presence without fixing it into clear definition. The material itself guides the image, allowing forms to emerge through the process. Painting becomes a way to explore perception, instability, and the tension between the visible and the felt.
